The 2014 vintage was exceptional: no drought, enough heat but not too much, happy vines, and tasty grapes. We work closely with several of the best growers in Sonoma County to grow and harvest the varietals for this outside the box blend. Zinfandel took the place of the usual Malbec for an extra kick of fruit and spice. Syrah, new to our Cabernet blends, adds bottom of the palate flavors and depth. Extended barrel aging helped concentrate the flavors. We used techniques, developed over our 48 years of winemaking, to delight your senses and fill your palate with our Deerfield style.
