Michael Amaro’s Vineyard is near the top of Sugarloaf Ridge in the Mayacamus Mountains framing the east side of the Sonoma Valley. It is a terroir uniquely suited to Cabernet. Robert says the best Cabernets always come from mountain vineyard. He selected his favorite rows in the vineyard to create this Meritage style wine. The blend was assembled from the best tasting barrels of each lot and blended by taste. Total barrel aging time was four years in a selection of French and Pennsylvania oak barrels. It represents the best of the vineyard and the vintage. We made just 180 cases.
