2006 Meritage, Rancho Salina

Dom Paino’s Rancho Salina Vineyard is on Moon Mountain 800 feet above the Sonoma Valley floor. This field blend, grown in rocky red volcanic soil with breezes from San Francisco Bay moderating the warm days, exemplifies the Sonoma terroir. This 2006 Meritage is fruit forward,
full-bodied, multidimensional and elegant.

Our state-of-the-art winemaking technique, including hand sorting and small batch whole berry fermentation, retains the individual character of each varietal while producing a marriage of flavors that reaches every corner of the palate. Extended barrel aging means the wine is delicious when young. Stability and attention to detail gives the wine long life.
