The Sangiovese is from the spectacular Alpicella Vineyard, near the top of Hood Mountain, the highest peak on the east side of Sonoma Valley. It produces lushes fruit with intense flavor.

This Brunello style wine has won more medals in competition than any other Deerfield wine. It is fruit forward, has soft tannins and low acid. The taste is layered with notes of chocolate covered strawberries and cedar. The fruit outweighs the tannin and the alcohol. This is not your father's Chianti. This Sangiovese is a whole new ballgame.
